As promised (Picture heavy)
As promised, I would post some of the finds that I have made since I began looking for Karmann Ghia to restore. This first one was on Craigslist. For all the great offers that were being made for it, as of 2 November 2010, it still sits in its resting place next to a barn untouched. It is such a shame, I have contemplated getting it and doing the work on it at a later date. It has no engine, and the rear apron is basically non existent. The nose has considerable rust, apparently where there was brazing done on it. On a better note, the nose was perfect with no crease or bump in in.

Name
My Karmann Ghia will be called "Hustle Muscle". Almost all owners of Air Cooled VWs state that their car has a personality. Indeed this is very true. My Karmann Ghia is given this name as I wanted him to have an ego of some sorts, as he think he will be fast and powerful. There is nothing wrong with giving a car an ego.

New Site
Today is a new day. Instead of using the confusing Word Press and/or Blog Spot, I have decided to use Serpendipity .The new site is hosted on 000webhost.com. I have used it before without a problem, and it is much faster then Zymic. The web site name may change in a few months, assuming I can register a domain name for it.
My goals for this site are to document the reconstructive surgery of a 1974 VW Karmann Ghia. In the coming days, I shall add pictures to it and show the progress that was made in searching for a Karmann Ghia, including that of a few rust buckets that I did not find suitable for restoration. And that is where I shall start at as soon as I get home from school tonight, and show the struggle for finding a suitable restoration candidate.
Thank you for visiting.
